Hi! My name is Christian Ruehl, and I'm the author of this website (indicated by the copyright remarks on every page :->). If I'm not busy with extending this "sorry effort", that I'm working on since 2 years, I read (non-fictional literature, magazines), listen to music or program, write, draw, render, digitalize etc. on the computer. Yes, I'm not only a trekker, but also a computer fan and multimedia freak. Moreover, I'm very interested in natural sciences (physics, chemistry, astronomy) and technology. Since 6 years, I'm a Star Trek fan and in the meantime, I spent all the money I have (or don't have) on it. While The Next Generation is still my favorite series, I adore Star Trek: Voyager and the most time I like Deep Space Nine, too, although I can't and don't want to identify with the statements of this series at all. In the last year, I also became a big fan of the Original Series, which I originally didn't like at all. I especially prefer episodes emphasizing the unique scientific-technical aspect of Star Trek (like Schisms, The Chase), exploring interesting extra-terrestial cultures (especially the Borg and Romulan episodes) or dealing with non-human characters (Odo/Kira, Seven, Holodoc, Data episodes), but I can't deny that also a lot of action episodes (Macrocosm, Dark Frontier) are my favorites. In the end, in my opinion the mixture is decisive: a good Star Trek episode should contain some action and and should be visually convincing, but also deal with in-depth topics and explore human ethics. For instance the great Voyager "telemovies" (Scorpion, Dark Frontier) have shown that this is possible. Of course, diversity is a primary aspect of Star Trek's mission, and therefore I think such  unique, rather unusual episodes like Duet, His Way and Trials and Tribble-ations are Star Trek at it's best.

Well, if you want to learn more about me or if you want to make first contact, please sent me an e-mail.

Okay, everything was a lie! To be honest, I'm a changeling, coming right from the Great Link to the Alpha quadrant to infiltrate humanity. Here are exclusively my other appearances:
